On World Environment Day at Hotel Soaltee, the Waste Management & Climate Conference (WMCC) 2024 was successfully held, jointly organized by Nepal Government, Khaalisisi, Confederation of Nepalese Industries, National Human Rights Commission, and Coca Cola Foundation and co-organized by WHR and CNIYEF.
Esteemed attendees included Chief Guest Hon. Narayan Prasad Dahal, Chairperson of the National Assembly, Hon. Mihir Thakur, Acting Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission, Hon. Birendra Mahato, Former Minister of Forest and Environment, Hon. MPs Ms. Sobita Gautam, Dr. Toshima Karki, Prof. Dr. Chanda Karki, Ms. Nabina Yadav, and Mr. Saraj Ahmed Farooqui, as well as Mr. Sandeep Patel, President of National Solid Waste Management Association, India, Ms. Rajesh Aayapilla, Senior Director of Coca-Cola Company, Mr. Anurag Goyal, President of CNIYEF, Ms. Aayushi Kc, Founder of Khaalisisi, and Ms. Kabita Pandey, Chairperson of Women for Human Rights, Single Women Group. Additionally, mayors and deputy mayors from Lalitpur, Dhankuta, Dhangadi, Budhanilkantha, and Chandragiri, along with many environment enthusiasts, industrialists, policymakers, ambassadors, and UN and municipal representatives, were present. This event aimed to pave the way for a greener future together!
