On August 4th, 2023, the Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center and the Women for Human Rights officially signed a significant MOU. This landmark agreement aims to provide crucial financial support to single women and their children under 18 who are battling cancer. This arrangement introduces a 10% price reduction for essential medical services such as radiology, lab tests, health check-ups, and preventive programs, with the goal of increasing the accessibility of top-notch healthcare. Additionally, a 5% discount is applied to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, highlighting a comprehensive care approach. Furthermore, the Nepalese government has set aside a sum of up to one lakh rupees to assist with the treatment costs, showcasing a shared commitment to enhance the availability of healthcare services.
