It was a pleasure for Women for Human Rights (WHR) to meet with Hon. Sita Badi, Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security, and discuss the current realities, challenges, and priorities of single women in Nepal.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Shobha BC, Chairperson of the WHR Central Board; Ms. Upasana Rana, Executive Director; and Mr. Rajin Rayamajhi, Legal and Advocacy Department.
We sincerely appreciate Hon. Minister’s time, interest, and willingness to listen to the concerns and experiences of single women. Meaningful dialogue at the policy level is essential to advancing their rights, dignity, social security, and participation.
We look forward to continued dialogue and collaboration to further the rights and well-being of single women across Nepal.
