Santamaya Adhikari is currently facing challenges as she grapples with both tuberculosis and HIV diseases.
Her health conditions have rendered her unable to work, adding to the difficulties she is experiencing. Upon
learning about her situation, a representative from the Human Rights for Single Women Group in
Makwanpur reached out to her. It was discovered that her son is also affected by tuberculosis, exacerbating
their economic struggles.
In support of Santamaya's human rights, the Women's Rights for Single Women Group in Makwanpur, with
the assistance of Kurve Wustrow, provided food support equivalent to Rs. 4000. Additionally, as a gesture
of solidarity, they informed the Mayor of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City about her situation, leading to
further support in the form of food and clothing.
