Sabita’s success story

Sabita Shrestha, a married small business owner, found herself caught in the web of cybercrime when she received an inappropriate message from an unknown person on social media. The discovery of this message by her husband led to escalating doubts and strained their relationship, causing both physical and mental stress. Seeking a solution, Sabita turned to Women’s Human Rights (WHR) for help. WHR’s psychosocial counselor intervened with targeted counseling sessions aimed at resolving the issues within Sabita’s marriage. Through these sessions, Sabita and her husband were able to address misunderstandings, improve communication, and ultimately resolve the tensions stemming from the cybercrime incident. The intervention not only restored trust in their relationship but also contributed to Sabita’s improved mental well-being.
