Binita’s success story

Binita Kumari Mandal, a 21-year-old, faced challenging circumstances after an arranged marriage that revealed her husband’s addiction issues. With a 2-year-old son and a newborn, her husband had been absent for seven months. She moved to Kathmandu to live with her parents, but their financial situation was strained due to her father’s physical limitations as a daily wage laborer and her mother’s work as a housemaid. Binita approached Women for Human Rights (WHR) for support, as they struggled to afford nutritional food and warm clothing. WHR also coordinated with other organizations to ensure ongoing assistance during this challenging time, improving their well-being and access to essential resources.
