“Our voices must be heard, and our rights must be ensured.”
A dialogue program between single women, conflict-affected women, marginalized women, and their children was successfully held in Hetauda, organized by Women for Human Rights (WHR), Single Women Group Makwanpur, with support from Kurve Wustrow.
Participants openly shared their lived experiences, including prolonged waiting for justice, discrimination and stigma faced as single women, and the social and economic challenges encountered by marginalized women in sustaining their livelihoods. The dialogue highlighted persistent gaps in justice for conflict-related cases and the need for stronger state accountability and support systems.
Speakers emphasized the importance of linking these communities with skill-based programs to promote self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods, along with continued collaboration from government and relevant stakeholders.
WHR remains committed to amplifying the voices of conflict-affected women, single women, and marginalized communities, and advocating for justice, dignity, and equality for all.
