Women for Human Rights (WHR), in collaboration with Women Friendly Disaster Management (WFDM) and Khalisisi, and in coordination with Budhanilkantha Municipality, has been supporting flood-affected families in Nuwakot and Rasuwa through the provision of women-friendly relief materials and essential items.<\/p>\n
As part of the response, WHR, WFDM, Khalisisi, and Budhanilkantha Municipality prepared the first batch of women-friendly relief kits for flood-affected communities in Nuwakot and Rasuwa. The relief efforts were designed to address the immediate and specific needs of women and families affected by the disaster.<\/p>\n
The WHR team also visited the Teaching Hospital to understand the situation of flood survivors admitted to the hospital and to meet with their families. During the visit, the team also spoke with families who continue to search for their missing loved ones, listening to their concerns and understanding their immediate needs.<\/p>\n
As part of the relief response, WHR, WFDM, and Khalisisi, in coordination with Budhanilkantha Municipality, handed over solar lights and women-friendly relief materials to affected communities in Nuwakot and Rasuwa. These materials were provided to help families meet their immediate needs and improve their safety and well-being during the difficult period following the floods.<\/p>\n
The organizations also provided relief support to flood-affected families originally from Betrabati, Ward No. 10 of Bidur Municipality, who are currently staying in Dhumbarahi and Kapurdhara while observing mourning rituals. Considering their immediate needs and difficult circumstances, blankets, mattresses, tarpaulins, and other essential relief materials were provided to support the families during this challenging time.<\/p>\n
