During the 2 days conference 24 pioneer single women leaders from five development region of Nepal were felicitated by Chandra Prakash Mainali, Hon. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare for their exemplary contribution in bringing the issues of single women in forefront and standing against discriminatory cultural practices and law against them.<\/p>\n

The conference also featured the launching of a discussion paper on Socio- economic Impact of the 2015 Earthquake on Single Women-Headed Households in Nepal.
